VLD for Visual C++ 2015?

Jul 22, 2015 at 1:54 PM
Could anyone patch VLD to support Visual C++ 2015? At the moment it does not show any memory leak if the source is compiled using the 2015 toolset.

I've tried to patch it, but I've failed. It seems, that MS have changed a lot in new universal CRT

I see you have pushed some commits for support 2015. Cloned the repository and built it myself and use it in our project. As far as I can tell it works great! Have helped us solve some problems.
Keep up the good work!

I was wondering if you can upload your build because I don't have all the SDKs installed...
Appreciate it.

Which SDKs did you guys install to build VLD for VS 2015?

Thanks.

I just downloaded the sourcecode and compiled it with solution that was provided, not sure what SDK that I have that you guys don't.

When do you think you can have an beta (or alpha) installer for msvc 2015 online? We want to install it in our c++ computer labs at the university for the students to use.

My problem was a little different, but ...
Check the option Properties > Linker > Generate Debugging Info. If set to /DEBUG:FASTLINK change it to /DEBUG. When you link the linker output should display (Full PDB) instead of (Partial PDB). This will generate a full PDB file, which may fix the problem.
